Regional Sales Manager (Energy)

Job Title: Regional Sales Manager
Division: Energy
Reports to: Business Unit Manager
 
Position Overview: Ensures the growth and maintenance of sales products in assigned territory by working with present and potential channels of distribution and customers.  Works with the Business Unit Manager to develop and achieve business plan goals.

Essential Functions:

  1. Strategy Planning: Determines and sets a sale and goals strategy plan for the territory consistent with company objectives and mutually agreed upon with sales manager.
  2. Implements Territory Planning: Executes the territory plan and provides a key account report providing status and possible changes to the plan.
  3. Provides Distribution Management: Set strategy meetings with distributors and/or key accounts for mutually agreed upon goals and plans.
    1. Assess training needs and provide training consistent with the needs of the distributor/rep’s sales force.
    2. Regular communication to follow-up on key account progress, lead follow-up, and general market feedback.
    3. Identify areas lacking appropriate distribution.
  4. Obtains Market Share: by helping to develop marketing plans and programs for each product, directing promotional support.
    1. Accurately identifies key strategic products to secure market share.
  5. Contributes to Market Effectiveness: Execution of territory management relative to product, customer and distributor focus are consistent with company marketing strategies.
  6. Completes CRM requirements:
    1. Making and reporting at least the minimum required number of sales calls or visits monthly. Submission of up-to-date key account reports.
    2. Timely follow-up on leads and distribution lead reports.
  7. Achieves Financial Obligations:
    1. Helping develop and reaches approved sales targets by sales group, and territory
    2. Provides support for quarterly progress reports
    3. Works with sales team to reach sales goals
  8. Develops product and application knowledge to effectively perform product demonstrations and technical presentations
    1. Understands and has a working knowledge of typical and specialized customer applications
    2. Understands and has a working knowledge of how Testo products can be used in typical and specialized applications.
    3. Develops technical and financial arguments why Testo products should be selected in selling situations.
    4. Develops expertise for product/market group to be able to train sales staff and sales channels on the above points
  9. Determines Customers’ needs, desires, and product pricing:
    1. Identifies and develops new uses for existing products through market understanding and technical product knowledge. 
    2. Is familiar with and influences current regulations that may require or utilize Testo products in regulatory applications.
  10. Influences present and future products by understanding and evaluating current and future market trends.
    1. Evaluates competitive products for strategic perspectives
  11. Contributes to Sales effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues providing pertinent information and commentary recommending options and courses of actions, implementing directives.
    1. Identifies and provides feedback regarding trends that influence the buying habits of the target industries.
    2. Identifies opportunities to influence industry drivers and regulations in ways that permit Testo to take advantage of these opportunities
  12. Maintains relations with customers by organizing and developing customer relations programs; determining company presence at conventions; annual meetings, trade associations, and seminars.

    2. Ensures proper coordination of show setup and support.
    3. Presents industry-related seminars and papers to advance the presence and stature of Testo

  13. Maintain market information, competitive information, and product applications relevant to assigned territory.

  15. Assist Marketing with Campaigns, Data Bases and help to coordinate and deliver materials.

Territory Sales Manager (North East)

Position Overview: Ensures the growth and stability of sales of products in assigned territory by working with present and potential channels of distribution and customers.

Essential Functions:

Service Technician

Job Title: Service Technician

Position Overview:
Maintaining, adjusting, calibrating, and repairing technical products and   providing technical assistance to customers.  Ensuring that the equipment is functioning properly through a complete diagnosis and testing of the instrument.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receives phone calls and emails regarding service issues
  • Enter customer and account data by alphabetic and numeric information according to screen format and company guidelines.
  • Evaluates and Repairs units as received
  • Prepares Quotations by studying customer needs and requests
  • Assist customers with technical support by phone and/or email
  • Keeps customers informed by confirming and clarifying orders, noting shipping
  • Assist Shipping/Warehouse Department as instructed
  • Developing and maintaining positive interpersonal relations with other department personnel

Position Overview: Ensures the growth and maintenance of the Climate products in the United States by working with present and potential channels of distribution and customers.  Works with the Vice President to develop and achieve business plan goals.

    • Asses Training Needs and provide training consistent with the needs of the distributor / rep's sales force.

Data Entry / General Office Support

Reports to: Operations/HR Manager
Location:
Sparta, NJ

Position Overview: The data entry portion of this position will transcribe vast amounts of information quickly with the utmost accuracy. Attention to detail and precision are crucial abilities. Maintaining files, performing receptionist duties when needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Enter customer information received from the warehouse into CRM regarding instruments to be serviced.
  • The data entry clerk will interact with and follow up with employees within the company as well as with customers to collect information.
  • The data entry clerk will capture the data into relevant databases in a timely and accurate manner.
  • You will identify and correct errors, and swiftly bring them to the attention of relevant parties where necessary.
  • Contact customers via phone and/or e-mail regarding  accounts.
  • Keep track of each customer contacted and progress made.
  • Follow Company Policies and Procedures as presented in the Employee Handbook.
  • Always present a professional image to internal and external customers.

Warehouse Clerk

Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Location:
Sparta, NJ

Position Overview: Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.

Essential Functions:

  • Receives Items by unloading vehicles; accepting deliveries; unpacking containers.
  • Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  • Verifies items received by inspecting condition of items; comparing count/measure of items to purchase order and packing list; noting discrepancies.
  • Documents Items Received by recording identifying information.
  • Transfers Orders Received by routing or delivering items to requesting department.
  • Replaces damaged items and shortages or obtains credit by informing shipper and transporter of damage or shortage; returning damaged items; requesting new items or credit for shortages.
  • Receives Credit-Return Materials from Production by verifying identifying information and quantity of materials, placing materials in inventory.
  • Ships Items by verifying identifying information and quantity and condition of items; loading and protecting items.
  • Documents Items Shipped by recording identifying information of items and transport information.
  • Receives Returned Goods and Verifies Customer’s Reason for Return by studying accompanying correspondence, inspecting goods. Performs documentation of returned goods by entering data into order-tracking system.
  • Maintains Shipping and Receiving Materials by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed materials; placing and expediting orders for materials; verifying receipt of materials.

Strong focus on providing excellent customer service to external and internal customers. Computer knowledge required including Microsoft 365 and SAP experience is a plus.
